Chapter History

Eta Xi
On January 13, 1973, the call for a true representation of sisterhood, scholarship and service was answered by 14 ladies who embodied class, elegance, and sophistication. From that day forward, the Eta Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has graced the campus of The University of Georgia and for the past 50 years has upheld the legacy and honor upon which Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was founded over 115 years ago.
Since the chapter's formation, the ladies of Eta Xi have hosted several innovative and relevant programs for the University of Georgia and Athens-Clarke County communities to enjoy and benefit.
It is our hope and desire that the light of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will continue to burn bright through the heart-felt actions and dutiful service displayed by the Eta Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. As we continue to serve the community, we hope that you join and support us in our efforts to paint the campus of the University of Georgia and the Athens-Clarke County community pink and green.
